Read vs. Unread

I'm thinking of separating books I've read from books I haven't read in my library, but I'm not sure... I like this idea though:

"I have two wall shelves for books I haven't read yet. You know how it is - until you've read 'em how do you know they won't contaminate another book by putting them next to an old favorite?" (from cemanuel on LT)
