Travelling with kids

This sounds like just my cup of tea.

I wonder if extended travel during maternity leave would be possible. Maybe for 6-9 months? Or more? Maybe the parenting leave (up to 5 years) would be a better time?

I also wonder how we could give the kids a travel experience - if they're under 6 years old, they have the advantage of being able to learn the language completely (something I learned in my Bilingualism linguistics class), but they make have less memories of the travels than if they're, say, 10 or 12 years old.

Lots to think about... lots of plans...
